In a groundbreaking initiative that has left experts scratching their heads and parents reaching for the aspirin, a new program has been launched to teach responsible gun use to our youth. Because, as we all know, the best way to prevent kids from accidentally shooting each other is to give them a crash course in marksmanship, right?

“Why teach them to avoid guns when we can teach them to use them responsibly?” said local gun enthusiast and part-time magician, Chuck “The Trigger” Thompson. “I mean, I learned to juggle chainsaws as a kid, and look at me! I’m still here—mostly.”

The program, aptly named “Guns and Giggles,” aims to combine firearm safety with a healthy dose of humor. “We believe that laughter is the best medicine, especially when it comes to handling firearms,” said program director and self-proclaimed ‘Gun Guru,’ Betty Boomstick. “If kids can learn to laugh while aiming at targets, they’ll be less likely to accidentally shoot their friends. Or so we hope!”

Participants will engage in activities like “Pin the Bullet on the Target” and “Musical Chairs with Real Chairs and Real Guns.” “It’s all about making responsible gun use fun!” Betty added, while juggling three rubber chickens and a loaded Nerf gun.

Critics of the program have raised eyebrows, with one concerned parent stating, “I just wanted my kid to learn how to ride a bike, not how to shoot one.” But supporters argue that teaching kids to handle guns responsibly is just like teaching them to handle their emotions—except with more explosions and fewer therapy sessions.

As the program kicks off, one thing is clear: if we can’t keep our kids from shooting each other, at least we can make sure they do it with a smile. After all, nothing says “responsible gun use” like a good laugh and a well-placed whoopee cushion.
