In a shocking turn of events, a woman who had been missing for months was found buried under piles of hoarded trash in her own home. The discovery was made by a team of cleaning professionals who were called in to help declutter the woman’s residence.
According to authorities, the woman, who has been identified as Mildred Jenkins, had been reported missing by her neighbors several months ago. However, no one could have imagined that she was actually just a few feet away, buried under mountains of junk.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw her lying there under all that trash,” said one of the cleaning professionals, who asked to remain anonymous. “It was like something out of a horror movie.”
When asked how she managed to survive for so long in such squalid conditions, Mildred had a surprising answer.
“I just kept telling myself that I was on an episode of ‘Extreme Hoarders’ and that I had to tough it out until the cameras stopped rolling,” she said with a laugh.
Neighbors were shocked to hear the news, with one resident, Ethel Mertz, commenting, “I always knew Mildred was a bit of a packrat, but I never imagined it was this bad. I guess you really can have too much of a good thing.”
As for Mildred, she is now recovering in a local hospital and is said to be in good spirits.
“I’m just grateful to be alive,” she said. “And I’ve learned my lesson – from now on, I’m sticking to a strict ‘one in, one out’ policy when it comes to my hoarding habits.”
Authorities are now investigating how Mildred went missing for so long without anyone noticing, but one thing is for sure – this is one hoarding horror story that won’t soon be forgotten.
