Waymo’s robotaxis in Atlanta: because who needs human drivers when you have killer robots and sketchy partnerships?

In a groundbreaking move that has sent shockwaves through the world of transportation, Waymo’s robotaxis have officially started carrying passengers in Atlanta, expanding their partnership with Uber. This news comes as a surprise to many, as most people were still reeling from the fact that self-driving cars were even a thing in the first place.

One of the first passengers to hop into a Waymo robotaxi in Atlanta was none other than local resident, Bob Smith. When asked about his experience, Bob said, “I couldn’t believe it when a car without a driver pulled up to pick me up. I thought I was being pranked by Ashton Kutcher or something!”

Uber CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, also chimed in on the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to be expanding our collaboration with Waymo. This is just the beginning of a beautiful friendship between man and machine…or should I say, man and robot?”

Not everyone is as excited about the news, however. Local taxi driver, Joe Schmo, expressed his concerns about the rise of self-driving cars taking over his livelihood. He lamented, “I’ve been driving a cab for 20 years, and now these darn robots are coming in and stealing my fares. What’s next, robot bartenders serving up drinks at the local pub?”

Despite the mixed reactions, it seems like the future of transportation is headed towards a more automated direction. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll all be cruising around in flying cars like something out of “The Jetsons.” But for now, we’ll just have to settle for robotaxis chauffeuring us around town in Atlanta.

So buckle up, folks, because the self-driving revolution is well and truly upon us. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll even be able to order a robotaxi to pick up our morning coffee for us. The possibilities are endless…and slightly terrifying.
