US Rep. LaMonica McIver is finding herself in hot water once again, this time for allegedly getting a little too handsy during a visit to an immigration center. The congresswoman, known for her strong stance on immigration reform, is set to be arraigned on assault charges stemming from the incident.
Witnesses at the center claim that Rep. McIver became agitated during a tour of the facility, and started aggressively patting down immigrants in an attempt to find hidden contraband. One immigrant, who wished to remain anonymous, described the incident as “humiliating and downright bizarre.”
