Senate Denies Kaine’s Hopes of Being Relevant by Blocking Trump’s War Powers Check

In a shocking turn of events, the Senate has once again shut down Senator Tim Kaine’s attempt to check President Trump’s war powers. It seems like the Senate just can’t resist giving Trump free rein to do whatever he wants, even if it means starting World War III over a tweet.

When asked for comment, Senator Kaine expressed his frustration, stating, “I just don’t understand why my colleagues won’t stand up to Trump. It’s like they’re all under some kind of spell or something. Maybe they’ve been hypnotized by his hair or his tiny hands, who knows.”

In response, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell simply shrugged and said, “Well, you know what they say, ‘If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.’ And let’s face it, Trump’s got some pretty persuasive Twitter fingers.”

Meanwhile, Senator Chuck Schumer tried to rally the troops, declaring, “We must resist the urge to let Trump run amok with our military. We must stand up for what’s right and put a check on his power before it’s too late.”

But alas, it seems like the Senate is more interested in watching Trump’s late-night Twitter rants than actually doing their jobs. As Senator Rand Paul put it, “I mean, have you seen those tweets? The man’s a comedic genius. Who needs war powers when you have that kind of entertainment?”

In the end, it looks like Trump will continue to have free rein to do whatever he pleases, whether it’s declaring war on a country that insulted his golf swing or launching a missile strike because someone called him “orange.” And the Senate will continue to sit back and watch, popcorn in hand, as the world burns.

So, buckle up folks, because it looks like we’re in for a wild ride with Trump at the helm and the Senate asleep at the wheel. Who knows what kind of shenanigans he’ll get up to next? Maybe he’ll declare war on Canada for running out of maple syrup. Or perhaps he’ll launch a missile strike on Mexico for refusing to pay for his wall. The possibilities are endless when you have a president who thinks diplomacy is for losers and Twitter is for winners.
