In a surprising turn of events, a Russian official has come forward to declare that Moscow has “no intention” of supplying Iran with warheads, following taunts from none other than the Twitter-happy President Donald Trump.
In a statement to the press, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated, “We want to assure the international community that Russia has no plans to provide Iran with warheads. We prefer to focus on more peaceful endeavors, such as hosting vodka tasting events and perfecting our ballet moves.”
This announcement comes after President Trump took to Twitter to mock Russian President Vladimir Putin, taunting him with messages like, “Hey Vlad, heard you’re planning to give Iran some warheads. Sad!” and “Russia, Iran, warheads…sounds like a bad sitcom waiting to happen!”.
In response, Putin reportedly rolled his eyes and muttered something about “crazy Americans and their Twitter addiction”.
When asked for comment, Trump replied, “I was just trying to have some fun, folks. You know me, always the joker. But hey, if Russia doesn’t want to share their warheads, more for us, right?”
Meanwhile, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani chimed in with his own witty remark, stating, “We weren’t really counting on those warheads anyway. We have plenty of other ways to cause trouble in the world. Like, I don’t know, maybe launching a fleet of angry camels or something.”
As tensions continue to simmer between the United States, Russia, and Iran, one thing is for sure – the world of international politics has never been more entertaining. Stay tuned for more updates on who’s taunting who and who’s running out of warheads first. And remember, folks, always take political Twitter feuds with a grain of salt…or maybe a shot of vodka. Cheers!
