In a surprising turn of events, the new CDC advisers have announced that they will be skipping some expected topics and instead focusing on a new target: antivaccine activists. That’s right, you heard it here first folks, the CDC is taking a stand against those who refuse to vaccinate themselves and their children.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, had this to say about the decision: “We’ve tried everything to convince these antivaxxers to see reason, but it’s like talking to a brick wall. So we’ve decided to skip the pleasantries and go straight for the jugular.”
One of the new CDC advisers, Dr. Karen Karenson, chimed in with her thoughts on the matter: “These antivaxxers are like a virus themselves, spreading misinformation and putting the public at risk. It’s time we put a stop to their nonsense once and for all.”
But not everyone is on board with this new approach. Jenny McCarthy, a well-known antivaccine activist, had this to say in response: “I can’t believe the CDC is targeting us like this. We’re just trying to protect our children from harmful chemicals and toxins. It’s not fair!”
Despite the backlash from antivaxxers, the CDC remains steadfast in their mission to promote vaccination and public health. So watch out, antivaccine activists, the CDC is coming for you. And they’re not taking any prisoners.
In the meantime, remember to wash your hands, wear your mask, and, most importantly, get vaccinated. Because as Dr. Fauci likes to say, “It’s better to be safe than sorry. And also, it’s better to be vaccinated than to be a walking petri dish of diseases.”
