LA taxpayers to cough up millions for ‘peaceful’ protest against ICE, because who needs roads and schools anyway?

Los Angeles taxpayers are in for a real treat as they will be footing the bill for millions of dollars to fund ‘peaceful’ anti-ICE protests in the city. That’s right, folks, your hard-earned money is going towards chants, signs, and probably a few vegan food trucks for those hungry activists.

Mayor Eric Garcetti, known for his love of avocado toast and bike lanes, defended the decision to use taxpayer money for the protests, stating, “It’s important for the city to show solidarity with those who are speaking out against ICE’s oppressive policies. Plus, it’s a great excuse to skip work and hang out with like-minded individuals.”

One protester, who goes by the name of “Free Spirit Unicorn,” expressed her gratitude for the city’s support. “I can’t believe they’re actually paying for us to protest! This is like, the best day ever. I think I’ll use my share of the funds to buy some new tie-dye shirts and maybe even a crystal or two.”

But not everyone is thrilled about the news. Local taxpayer Bob Smith voiced his frustration, saying, “I don’t understand why my money is going towards these protests. Can’t these activists just shout their slogans for free in the park like normal people?”

In response to critics, Councilman Randy McRib defended the decision, stating, “These protests are essential for our city’s image. We need to show the world that Los Angeles is a progressive, socially conscious place where people care about important issues like immigration. Plus, it’s a great opportunity for influencers to get some killer Instagram shots.”

So there you have it, folks. Los Angeles taxpayers are officially funding ‘peaceful’ protests against ICE. Who knows, maybe next they’ll start using taxpayer money for yoga classes and essential oil workshops. Stay tuned for more updates on this absurd use of funds in the city of angels.
