LA Mayor dismisses anti-ICE riots as basically a block party, claims 1992 riots were just a warm-up act.

In a recent press conference, LA Mayor Bass attempted to downplay the recent anti-ICE riots that have been taking place in the city, claiming that they are limited to a small part of the city and are in no way comparable to the 1992 unrest.

When asked about the comparison to the 1992 riots, Mayor Bass confidently stated, “There is absolutely zero comparison between what is happening now and what happened in 1992. Back then, we had widespread destruction and chaos throughout the city. Now, we just have a few small pockets of rioting. It’s like comparing a tiny firecracker to a full-blown fireworks display!”

However, residents of the city have expressed outrage at Mayor Bass’s comments, with one citizen, Jane Doe, stating, “This is ridiculous! Just because the riots aren’t as widespread as in 1992 doesn’t mean they aren’t serious. People’s lives and property are still being affected. Mayor Bass needs to wake up and take action!”

In response to the backlash, Mayor Bass doubled down on his comments, claiming that the riots are simply a result of a few “overzealous individuals” and are not indicative of a larger problem in the city. He even went as far as to say, “I have full confidence that our police force can handle the situation. We just need to let them do their job and everything will be fine.”

But not everyone is convinced by Mayor Bass’s reassurances. Local comedian, John Smith, joked, “Oh sure, because we all know the LAPD has a flawless track record when it comes to handling riots. I’m sure everything will be just peachy!”

As the anti-ICE riots continue to wreak havoc in the city, residents are left wondering if Mayor Bass’s nonchalant attitude is the right approach. Only time will tell if his confidence in the LAPD is well-founded or if the city is in for a rude awakening. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story!
