Is Father’s Day Really a Thing? Some Still Unsure.

Father’s Day, the one day of the year where dads across the world finally get the recognition they deserve for all the hard work they do. But is Father’s Day really getting more respect? Well, it depends on who you ask.

According to a recent survey conducted by the International Association of Dads (IAD), it seems that dads are feeling a bit slighted when it comes to Father’s Day celebrations.

“I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love getting another tie or a ‘World’s Best Dad’ mug every year,” said Bob Smith, a father of three from Idaho. “But it would be nice if my kids could at least pretend to be excited about it.”

Other dads echoed Bob’s sentiments, with some even going as far as to call Father’s Day “the forgotten holiday.”

However, not everyone agrees with this sentiment. Sally Johnson, a mother of two, believes that Father’s Day is getting the respect it deserves.

“I always make sure to spoil my husband on Father’s Day,” Sally said. “I mean, he does a lot for our family, so it’s the least I can do.”

But what about the dads who don’t have partners to spoil them on Father’s Day? According to Larry Thompson, a single dad from California, Father’s Day can be a bit lonely.

“It’s just me and my kids on Father’s Day, so it’s not quite the same as Mother’s Day when they have their mom around,” Larry explained. “But hey, at least I get to choose what we have for dinner that day.”

So, is Father’s Day really getting more respect? It seems like the jury is still out on that one. But one thing’s for sure, dads everywhere will continue to bask in the glory of their one special day of the year, even if it means pretending to be excited about yet another tie.
