Former NBA great Vlade Divac is in the news again, but not for his basketball skills this time. The seven-foot tall Serbian recently broke his hip in a motorcycle accident in Montenegro, leaving fans shocked and wondering how such a tall guy could fall off a bike in the first place.
Witnesses say they saw Divac cruising down the streets of Montenegro on his motorcycle when he hit a pothole and went flying through the air. One witness, who wished to remain anonymous, said, “I couldn’t believe my eyes! Vlade Divac, the man who dominated the basketball court, was now dominating the pavement.”
In a statement released by Divac’s PR team, they assured fans that he is in good spirits and is already cracking jokes about his accident. Divac himself was quoted as saying, “I guess my days of slam dunking on the court are over, but I can still slam dunk in the hospital bed!” Classic Vlade humor right there.
This isn’t the first time Divac has made headlines for his off-court antics. In the past, he has been known to dabble in various hobbies, including cooking, painting, and even beekeeping. Maybe it’s time for him to stick to those safer activities and leave the motorcycles to the professionals.
As for his recovery, doctors say Divac will need to undergo surgery to repair his broken hip. But knowing Vlade, he’ll probably bounce back quicker than a basketball on the court.
In the meantime, fans are rallying behind the former NBA star, sending him well-wishes and funny memes to cheer him up during his recovery. One fan tweeted, “Get well soon, Vlade! Maybe stick to riding a tricycle next time.”
We wish Vlade Divac a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on his feet (and off the motorcycle) soon. Until then, let’s all enjoy the mental image of a seven-foot-tall man cruising down the streets of Montenegro on a tiny motorcycle.
