Former Dolphin Regrets Not Being Traded to Steelers: I Would’ve Been a Blockbuster!

Former Miami Dolphins star, Bob “The Blowfish” Johnson, recently took to social media to slam his former team over their blockbuster trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The trade, which involved the Dolphins sending their star quarterback, Dan Marino Jr., to the Steelers in exchange for a bag of footballs and a lifetime supply of Primanti Bros. sandwiches, has left fans scratching their heads and former players fuming.

In a scathing tweet, Johnson wrote, “Can’t believe the Dolphins would trade away their franchise player for a couple of deflated footballs and some soggy sandwiches. What a joke! #FinsDown”

Fans were quick to jump on the bandwagon, with one user commenting, “I guess the Dolphins are just trying to tank for the next 50 years. Good job, guys!”

When reached for comment, Dolphins head coach, Mike “The Mullet” Smith, defended the trade, saying, “We believe that the Primanti Bros. sandwiches will provide our players with the necessary sustenance to dominate on the field. Plus, who needs a quarterback when you have a bag of footballs, am I right?”

However, not everyone is convinced. Former Dolphins linebacker, Chad “The Chum” Thompson, echoed Johnson’s sentiments, saying, “This trade is a disgrace to the organization. I can’t believe they would let go of Marino Jr. like that. He was the heart and soul of the team. Shame on them.”

Despite the backlash, the Dolphins seem unfazed and are reportedly already in talks with the Cleveland Browns about a potential trade involving their mascot, Flipper the Dolphin, in exchange for a set of pom-poms and a year’s supply of Skyline chili.

Only time will tell if this trade will pay off for the Dolphins, but one thing is for sure – the jokes and memes will continue to flood social media for weeks to come. #FinsDownBobJohnson #PrimantiBrosGate
