In a move that has left the internet cringing harder than a middle school dance, Democratic lawmaker Rep. Karen Songbird took to social media to share a video of her latest anti-Trump performance – a cringe-worthy guitar rendition that has sparked a firestorm of ridicule and disbelief.
The video, which has since gone viral, shows Rep. Songbird strumming away on her guitar while belting out a tuneless rendition of “F*ck Trump” to an empty room. The performance, which has been described as “tone-deaf” and “embarrassing” by critics, has left many wondering just what the heck Rep. Songbird was thinking.
“It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion,” said one Twitter user. “I couldn’t look away, but I also couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It was like she was trying to communicate with dolphins or something.”
Others took to social media to express their disbelief at the spectacle, with one user writing, “I’ve seen better performances at a karaoke bar on a Tuesday night. At least those people have the excuse of being drunk.”
Even some of Rep. Songbird’s fellow Democrats were left scratching their heads at the performance. Rep. I think she may have set back the anti-Trump movement by a few decades with that one.”
