In a shocking turn of events, California has been found to be in violation of Title IX after a recent uproar over transgender athletes in high school sports. The Education Department has issued a statement condemning the state’s handling of the situation, saying that they have failed to uphold the rights of female athletes.
“It’s a real mess out there in California,” said Education Secretary Betsy DeVos. “We can’t have boys pretending to be girls and taking over girls’ sports. It’s just not fair.”
