Rich sports owner to face consequences for fan getting shot. Oops, should’ve invested in better security!

In what can only be described as a real-life “bull in a china shop” situation, the owner of the Chicago Bulls and White Sox, Jerry Reinsdorf, is set to be deposed for a lawsuit after a fan was shot at one of his team’s games. Talk about taking the concept of “home court advantage” to a whole new level!

The incident occurred during a game at the United Center, where a fan was reportedly shot in the leg by a stray bullet. Witnesses say the bullet came from outside the arena, but that didn’t stop the victim from pointing fingers at Reinsdorf himself. In a statement, the fan claimed, “I may have been shot by some random stranger, but I blame Jerry Reinsdorf for this whole mess. If he had invested in better security measures, this never would have happened.”

Of course, Reinsdorf is denying any responsibility for the incident. In a statement released by his lawyer, Reinsdorf said, “I am shocked and saddened by this unfortunate event, but I can assure you that I had nothing to do with it. In fact, I was too busy counting my money to even notice what was happening at the game.”

Despite his protests, Reinsdorf is set to be deposed in the coming weeks as part of the lawsuit. And if his past behavior is any indication, we can expect some classic Reinsdorf quotes to come out of the proceedings. When asked about the lawsuit, Reinsdorf reportedly said, “I’ve been in the sports business for over 40 years, and I’ve never been sued for anything other than being too damn good at what I do. This is just another bump in the road for me.”

As for the fan who was shot, he is said to be recovering well and is already planning his next trip to the United Center. When asked why he would want to return after such a traumatic experience, the fan replied, “I may have been shot, but I still love my Bulls and White Sox. Besides, where else can you get a front-row seat to a real-life circus like this?”
