Delta’s Hail Mary: 100 Planes Inspected After Atlanta Storm Rocks Busiest Airport

In a shocking turn of events, 100 Delta planes were recently checked for hail damage after a fierce thunderstorm hit Atlanta, the nation’s busiest airport. As if dealing with delayed flights and lost luggage wasn’t enough, now passengers have to worry about flying in planes that resemble Swiss cheese!

According to Delta spokesperson, Karen Thunderbolt, “We take the safety of our passengers very seriously, which is why we had to inspect each and every plane for hail damage. We can’t have our planes looking like they just went through a round of golf with Tiger Woods!”

Passengers were understandably concerned about the state of the planes, with one traveler, Bob Jetsetter, exclaiming, “I knew I should have taken that train instead of flying! Who knows what kind of damage those hailstones did to the engines!”

But fear not, dear passengers, as Delta assures us that all planes have been given the green light to take to the skies once again. “Our planes are as sturdy as ever,” says Delta engineer, Chuck Screwdriver. “They may have a few dents here and there, but that just gives them character. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter for the person sitting next to you!”

In response to the hailstorm, rival airline Southwest Airlines has announced a new marketing campaign, boasting, “Our planes are hail-proof! Fly with us and never worry about getting caught in a storm again. Unless, of course, you’re afraid of turbulence, but that’s a whole other issue!”

So next time you’re flying through Atlanta, keep an eye out for those hail-damaged planes. And remember, it’s not the size of the dent that matters, it’s how you fly through the storm!
