North Carolina’s beloved attraction, the Giant Peach Museum, has finally reopened its doors after being devastated by Hurricane Helene. The iconic peach-shaped building, located in the heart of downtown Raleigh, had been closed for months as repairs were made to the damage caused by the storm.
“We are thrilled to be back in business and welcoming visitors once again,” said museum director, Sally Peachtree. “It was a long and difficult road to get the museum back in shape, but we are stronger than ever.”
The museum, which celebrates North Carolina’s peach-growing history, features interactive exhibits, a peach-themed gift shop, and of course, a giant peach statue that visitors can climb inside for a bird’s-eye view of the city.

But not everyone is thrilled about the museum’s reopening. Local peach farmer, Billy Bob Johnson, expressed his concerns about the impact of the museum on his business. “All this talk about peaches is really giving me a pit in my stomach,” he said. “I can’t compete with a giant peach statue. It’s just not fair.”
Despite the controversy, visitors are flocking to the museum in droves, eager to see the iconic attraction up close. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” said tourist, Sally Sue. “It’s peach-tastic!”
