Gay Marriage: 10 Years of Ruining Traditional Values and Destroying Society, Thanks SCOTUS!

It’s been 10 years since the Supreme Court made the groundbreaking decision to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide, and the country is still reeling from the shockwaves of love and equality. In a move that reshaped American law and culture, the highest court in the land paved the way for lovebirds of all orientations to say “I do” and live happily ever after.

“It’s been a wild ride, but we made it through,” said Jane Smith, a proud lesbian who tied the knot with her partner of 15 years, Mary Johnson, shortly after the historic ruling. “I never thought I’d see the day when I could legally marry the love of my life, but here we are, living the dream!”

Not everyone was thrilled with the decision, however. Conservative politician John Doe famously declared, “This is a dark day for America. Next thing you know, people will be marrying their pets!” Fortunately for Mr. Doe, his cat Mittens was not available for comment.

In the decade since same-sex marriage was legalized, the wedding industry has seen a boom in business. Wedding planner extraordinaire, Tiffany Sparkles, has been busier than ever helping couples of all orientations plan their big day. “Love is love, and I’m here to make sure every wedding is as fabulous as can be,” Sparkles said while bedazzling a rainbow-themed wedding cake.

Despite the progress made in the fight for marriage equality, there are still some holdouts who refuse to accept change. Notorious homophobe Karen Karenson lamented, “I can’t believe the sanctity of marriage has been ruined by all these gay weddings. What’s next, polygamy?!” Karenson’s husband, Bob Bobson, declined to comment on the matter.

As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of legalized same-sex marriage, let’s raise a toast to love, equality, and the right to live happily ever after. Here’s to another decade of fabulous weddings, glittering receptions, and love that knows no bounds. Love wins, always and forever.
