Huge, Tremendous Weekend on the Hill: ‘Is Anyone Actually Enjoying Themselves?’

Welcome to the Hill, where the grass is green, the sun is shining, and the party never stops. This past weekend was one for the books as students from all over campus gathered for a big, beautiful weekend of fun, frolic, and questionable decision-making. The question on everyone’s mind: “Is everybody having fun yet?”

The festivities kicked off on Friday night with a raucous house party thrown by the infamous frat brothers of Alpha Sigma Sigma. The theme of the party was “Cowboys and Aliens,” which led to some interesting costume choices, to say the least. One partygoer, who wished to remain anonymous, was quoted as saying, “I thought I was being clever by dressing up as an alien cowboy, but turns out I just looked like a confused extra from a B-movie.”

As the night wore on, the music got louder, the drinks flowed freely, and the dance floor turned into a chaotic mess of flailing limbs and questionable dance moves. One particularly enthusiastic party attendee, who we’ll call Chad, was overheard shouting, “I’m the king of the world!” before promptly falling face-first into a bowl of punch.

The fun didn’t stop there, as Saturday brought the annual Hillside Carnival, complete with rides, games, and enough fried food to clog even the healthiest of arteries. The highlight of the carnival was a pie-eating contest, which pitted rival sororities against each other in a battle of gastronomic prowess. One contestant, who we’ll call Tiffany, was quoted as saying, “I may have lost the contest, but I won in the battle against my own digestive system.”

As the sun set on Saturday night, the revelry continued with a massive bonfire on the Hill. Students gathered around the flames, swapping stories, sharing laughs, and maybe even shedding a tear or two at the beauty of it all. One student, who we’ll call Steve, summed up the weekend perfectly when he said, “I came for the fun, but I stayed for the memories. And also the free pizza.”

So, to answer the question on everyone’s mind: Yes, everybody was definitely having fun on the Hill this weekend. And if you missed out, don’t worry – there’s always next weekend. Just remember to bring your cowboy hat and alien costume.
