In a shocking turn of events, Florida takes the top spot with an astonishing 10,000 lightning insurance claims per year. When asked about the high number of claims, Florida resident and self-proclaimed lightning magnet, Bob Thunderstruck, stated, “I swear, every time there’s a storm, my house gets struck by lightning. It’s like Mother Nature has it out for me!”
Coming in second place is Texas, with 8,000 lightning insurance claims annually. Texan rancher, Billy Ray Lightningrod, shared his experience with lightning strikes, saying, “I reckon I’ve lost count of how many times lightning has hit my barn. I should start charging it rent at this point!”
