**Pilot Makes History After Landing on Top of a 56-Story Hotel: “I Thought It Was a Giant Parking Lot!”**

In a move that has left aviation experts scratching their heads and hotel guests questioning their life choices, a daring pilot made history this week by successfully landing a small aircraft on the roof of the 56-story SkyHigh Hotel in downtown Metropolis. Witnesses reported that the pilot, identified as Chuck “The Sky King” McFly, emerged from the cockpit with a grin that could only be described as “partly smug, partly confused.”

“I thought it was a giant parking lot!” McFly exclaimed, still wearing his aviator sunglasses despite the overcast sky. “I mean, who wouldn’t want to park their plane on a roof? It’s like the ultimate VIP spot!”

Guests at the hotel were less than thrilled. “I was just trying to enjoy my complimentary continental breakfast when I heard a loud thud,” said Mrs. Gladys Pumpernickel, a 78-year-old retiree. “I thought it was just the sound of my husband falling asleep again, but then I looked out the window and saw a plane! I mean, I’ve seen some wild things in my day, but this takes the cake!”

The hotel’s management, meanwhile, is considering adding “Airplane Landing” to their list of amenities. “We’re just thrilled to be part of aviation history,” said hotel manager Bob “Not That Bob” McBobface. “We’re thinking of offering a ‘Fly and Stay’ package. Guests can land their planes on the roof and then enjoy a complimentary stay in our ‘Sky Suite’—which, by the way, has a fantastic view of the parking lot!”

As for McFly, he’s already planning his next stunt. “I’m thinking of landing on a moving train next,” he said, chuckling. “Or maybe a giant inflatable bouncy castle. The sky’s the limit!”

In the meantime, the FAA has issued a statement reminding pilots that “rooftops are not runways” and that “the only thing that should be landing on hotels is room service.” But for McFly, the sky is just the beginning of his high-flying adventures.
